Never again will you need to switch back and forth between apps while practicing. Musicians Kit places all of your "musical utilities" (tuner, metronome, and sound recorder) into one convenient bundle.


Using the built-in microphone (or headset) on your iOS device, you can get a quick and easy tune up before rehearsal. It also offers a tone generator, if thats what you prefer. The tuner is accurate to a quarter of a cent at A-440 (1/400 of the distance between A and Bb).

The metronome in Musicians Kit offers an intuitive interface that allows you to set Beats/Minute, Beats/Measure, and Subdivisions/Beat. It even lets you tap in your own tempo for easy synchronization with a recording or that tune you have in your head.

Musicians Kit also allows you to record and play audio tracks on your iOS device. The recorder stores its audio tracks in .wav files on your device, so you dont lose any quality caused by compression. You can download your .wav files by connecting your device to iTunes (click on your device in the left hand column, then click on "Apps", and click MusiciansKit under "File Sharing"). The Recorder also lets you convert the wave files to .AAC, so you can easily share audio tracks by email attachment (WAV files are too large for email).

I have used several tuner apps and this one by far the best ever! I wish there is a paid version so I can get rid of annoying advertising.
Im an oboe player, SO of course a tuner is a must. I LOVE this app for its tuner, however the metronome is not accurate whatsoever. This tuner works so well, that my band director uses it daily! 100% recommend for a tuner, however not so much for a metronome.
This app works perfectly, the only thing I would suggest is please add different sounds for the metronome because the default sound that the metronome makes gives me a headache.

Some bad moments

when I try to use the metronome, the app shuts down. it use to be perfect, but its not anymore
I want to tune my tuba, but this has no flats! If you dont fix this in the next 24 hours, I will hack apple and remove this from the App Store. (Jk) XD
Used to love this app but now it crashes every time I try to use the metronome. PLEASE FIX!
I think this app has a lot of potential if they made it so you could choose your intrument
Using to tune my bass, and it works with all the notes except an open A for some reason. Like, all the other strings and fingerings work but it keeps telling me my A string is an E, and I know its not THAT out of tune. But it seems to work with my clarinet and when I hum so maybe its a low note thing. Would recommend to non-bass players.
I just started using it for my band class and Im in love with it! I have no problems with it!
